Hi, my name is Jennifer Calderón and I’m a public relations professional and freelance writer from San Diego, California.
As a writer, there’s nothing scarier than staring at a blank page and starting a new draft, but I wouldn’t have it any other way: writing and storytelling is what I love to do.
I earned my Masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. During my undergraduate tenure at the University of California, Irvine’s Literary Journalism Program, I studied under Pulitzer Prize-winning author Barry Siegel, former Los Angeles Times national correspondent Erika Hayasaki, multi award-winning novelist Amy Wilentz, and other esteemed faculty.
My work has been published in HelloGiggles, AOL’s Patch.com, Orange Coast Magazine, San Diego Reader, and in various other publications throughout Southern California. I am also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America’s San Diego/Imperial Counties chapter.
This website is a place where I retreat to and blog about a variety of topics such as travel, the goings-on in my hometown, media & pop-culture, and life as I know it.
